Be Alert

I saw an image of a traffic cone. I feel that God is saying that we should be attentive to the warning signs visible in the world. We should not become complacent, but rather be spurred on in our continual pursuit of spending time with God. We should not fear the trouble and trials in our lives, but rather seek God and sit at His feet.

I felt God saying, “Beloved, cast your eyes upon the world. Do you not see all the trouble and all the waning signs? I desire my followers to be sober and alert. Do not turn a blind eye to the warning signs, for I have placed them here for you to observe. Turn your eyes fully on Me, for I am your saviour and the Almighty God. Do not be discouraged by the trouble and trials, but view them as a purifying fire that refines you for the work I have in mind. Keep your eyes fixed on Me and seek my presence more actively than before. Do not allow your zeal and fire for Me to be dulled by the world.”

I was reminded of 1 Peter 5:8-9 – “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”

Let us eagerly seek God more and more, spending time in His presence. Through this, we are continually built up in the Lord and He prepares us for the things He has in mind. Amidst troubles, let us seek the Lord and find our peace in Him.
