I saw an image of a soft serve ice cream. I feel that God is reminding us that He is a good father, who desires to spend time with us and to give good gifts to us.
I heard God saying, “Beloved, I am a good, good father. Come to Me and desire the things that I have in store for you. Eagerly seek and anticipate them, for I will give them to you freely. I desire to give good gifts to My children. I ask that you will come into My presence and ask for them. Do not feel unworthy of receiving gifts, for I have made you worthy by the blood of My Son. So come into My presence like a child running to their father, into My arms. With freedom and boldness, come to My throne and make your requests known to Me. I desire to spend more time with you. Allow me to be an active part of your life. I desire to be the one that you turn to when things are going well, when things are going badly and in the in between. I desire to be the one in the midst of it all. “
I was reminded of Hebrews 4:16 – “Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.” and Matthew 7:11 – “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”
Let us draw near to God, desiring to spend more time with Him, growing our relationship with Him. Let us approach His throne with boldness, making our requests known to Him, for He is a good father.
