I saw an image of a mortar and pestle. I feel that God is saying that He will grind us in order to release the sweet fragrance within us, in the same way that spices are ground to release their aroma.
I heard God saying, “Allow Me to grind you, for as I do, the fullness of your sweet aroma will be released. In the grinding, I will not break you beyond repair, but rather I will break you into the fullness of what I have in store for you. For in that, I will remove the things of the old life, and all that will remain will be the sweet, pleasing fragrance, which will rise towards Me. So surrender yourself to Me and allow Me to grind you. Do not be resistant or harden yourself against Me, but be soft in My hands, allowing Me to grind you. For know that I love you dearly, and I will not place more upon you than you can bear. So, continue to find your strength in Me and to depend upon Me to bring you into the fullness that I have in store for you.”
I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 2:15 – For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
Let us allow God to grind us, bringing forth a sweet and pleasing fragrance. Let us keep our eyes fixed upon Him, trusting in Him.
