As I was praying I heard God saying, “Beloved, do not fear, but look towards Me. As you do, you will experience the fullness of My peace and My love, surrounding you. I will uplift you and I will encourage you. Do not allow this world and the darkness of it to bear you down, but continue to keep your gaze fixed upon Me, and to allow the joy of Me to be constantly in your heart. I desire you to be filled with that deep inner joy which comes from Me. A joy and a peace which surpasses all understanding. I desire you to feel the companionship with which I come to you. I desire to fellowship with you and to spend time with you. For in that place of closeness, you will grow in Me and we will grow closer as you experience more of Me and more of that which I have in store for you. So, do not allow the world to drag you down, but continue to focus on Me and to allow My joy to reside in your hearts.”
I was reminded of Nehemiah 8:10b – Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Let us fix our eyes upon God, pursuing a deeper relationship with Him and having our hearts constantly filled with His joy.
