I saw an image of a duckling swimming, and my attention was drawn to its soft down. The soft down is not as efficient in repelling the water and does not provide the ability to fly, as the fully grown duck’s feathers do. In the same way, I feel that God wants us to seek more maturity in Him, that He may make us more efficient in gliding with His spirit and in reaching higher heights with Him.
I heard God saying, “Know that I am calling you at this time, to seek a full maturity within Me. Know that as you come to Me, that I will form you and mould you, and that I will further place that shield around you, that you may walk in the boldness and the confidence of what I have called you, without fear of what may come against you, but rather knowing that I am the Lord God Almighty and that I go with you wherever you go. For I am calling you at this time to lay down your own ideas and your own understanding, and rather to pick up the mind of Christ at this time. To come to Me and to seek that renewing of your mind constantly, that it may be renewed into the fullness of the image that I desire it to be. Know that from that place of a renewed and transformed mind, that you will see the world differently, that you will walk in a different way and that you will move by My spirit, gliding on the wings of My spirit, going where it leads, knowing that I Myself will go with you and that I will lead you and guide you in everything. Know that I will use you in a mighty way, that I am calling you at this time, to draw you up higher, as you come and as you seek Me. And know that as you go higher, that you will see those things that have held you back in the past, falling away, that you may become even more streamlined, that you may glide with an ease with My spirit and that you may come into the fullness of what I desire for you at this time.”
1 Corinthians 2:16 – For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].
Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.
Let us seek to grow in our maturity in God, by the continual renewing of our mind, so that we may be equipped for all the plans and purposes that God has in store for us.
