I saw an image of an anchor. I feel that God is saying that we should pursue Him actively, for He is our firm foundation. When we spend time with Him, we become firmly anchored in Him.
I felt God saying, “Anchor yourself in Me. I desire to be your firm foundation. Do not rely on your own understanding, but fully depend on Me. When you are anchored in Me, not even the strongest wind or storm can take you out of My hands. Spend time in My presence, anchoring yourself further in Me. When storms come, do not trouble your heart, for I am a firm foundation who will not be shaken. Rest in Me knowing I am the Almighty God. Do not fear, for I command the winds and waves. “
When we are firmly anchored in God, we rest in Him, knowing that He is in control. Matthew 8:27 – “The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!””
I was reminded of Hebrews 6:18b-19 – “Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. ” Through Jesus, we are able to enter the inner sanctuary of God and spend time in His presence. Let us eagerly seek to do this, for the time spent in HIs presence builds us up in our faith and also transforms us into that which God has in mind for us. We also know that God’s promises are trustworthy and true, so let us hold fast to those promises and trust fully in Him, anchoring ourselves in Him. God is our refuge and strength.
