I saw an image of a signet ring and I feel that God is saying that He has given us the authority, in the same way that a king gives authority to a person by giving them the signet ring.
I heard God saying, “My child, I have given you all authority on heaven and on earth, for you have been created in My image. Do you not see that I have placed My ring of authority upon your finger? So, take hold of the authority that I have given you and step out in faith, knowing that He who is in you is greater than He who is in the world. For at My name, all things will bow. So step out and step into the fullness of My authority that I have given to you. Do not doubt or fear, but know that you have the authority to trample upon snakes and scorpions. You are a child of the Most High and you have the authority. So come to Me, allow our relationship to grow stronger by spending more time in My presence. For as you do, your faith and your trust in Me will be increased and strengthened. From that place of intimacy, you will be able to better take hold of your authority in Me, for you will have a better grasp of what this authority means and how to use it. So, continue to seek Me and to spend time in My presence.”
I was reminded of Luke 10:19 – Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.
I was also reminded of Esther, where the king gave his signet ring to Haman, and with it all authority and power. (Esther 3) Haman used this authority for the wrong reasons, however God has also given us authority and power, to stand up against the enemy.
Let us take hold of the authority that God has given us, not allowing doubt or fear to hinder us from stepping into the fullness of God’s plans for our lives.
