I saw an image of a long, stone bridge. I feel that God is saying that He is using us, as the body of believers, as living stones, to form a bridge. In the same way that a bridge gives people a way in which to cross over places that would be very difficult otherwise, so we can help others to cross over the difficulties in their lives. We can encourage them and help them through it.
I heard God saying, “Beloved, I am busy building a bridge made of living stones. I desire the church to form a bridge, which people can cross over. For as they interact with My body, I desire them to be elevated, to be moved from a place of despair and sorrow, to a place of hope and joy. I desire the body of believers to unite, to form this roadway, where people can cross over the difficulties and the troubles in their lives, with the support of My followers. I desire you to support them, to carry their burdens, and to uphold them as they journey from death into life. Continue to come into My presence, to be refreshed and rejuvenated, so that you can give forward that same refreshment and rejuvenation to others.”
I was reminded of 1 Peter 2:5 – You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.
John 5:24 – Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
Let us unite as the body of Christ, being used by God to encourage and uplift those around us, helping them to overcome the struggles that they face.
