I saw an image of a barbell used for weightlifting. I feel that God is saying that we are trying to bear our burdens in our own strength, as if lifting the barbell. Yet, God is standing right behind us, in the same way as the spotter, ready to take the weight from us, giving us relief.
I heard God saying, “My child, I know the struggles that you are going through and I know the heavy weight that you have to bear, but know this – that I am standing right behind you, ready to take off the weight. So, do not continue to struggle on in your own strength, but give the burden over to Me, for I can carry it with ease. I desire to help you and to lighten the load on your shoulders. Do not feel that you are alone, but know that I am right beside you. I am there to comfort you, to encourage you and to assist you. Do not allow the weight of your burden to bring your down, but continue to keep your eyes focused upward, and as you give your burdens to Me, you will feel the freedom that comes along with it. I desire you to step into the fullness of what I have in store for you. So, lay your burdens at My feet and allow Me to encourage you and uphold you, so that you may step into the abundance that I have in store for you.”
I was reminded of Psalm 55:22 – Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).
Let us give pour burdens to God, knowing that His strength is so much greater than ours.
