I heard God saying, “Beloved, why do you focus on the things of this world? Do you not realize that they are like the wildflowers who are here today and gone tomorrow? Instead, turn your eyes towards Me and focus fully on Me. For I am the Almighty God, who is the same yesterday, today and forever evermore. I do not change and I do not fade away, for I am the rock. So come to Me and continue to pursue a deeper relationship with Me. Do not allow the world to distract you, but continue to focus on Me. I desire to be the center of your life. I am a jealous God, who desires all of you. I desire to take you deeper, however I require your full focus to be fixed upon Me. Rely on Me and I will show you great things and you will experience the close intimacy with Me. Fix your gaze upon Me and the things of this world will grow strangely dim. I desire to lead you and to guide you into the fullness of the plan that I have set before you. So take hold of My hand and trust Me fully. Count all things as loss and journey with Me.”
I was reminded of Philippians 3:8 – But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ.
Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.
Let us focus on God, counting all things as loss compared to the privilege of knowing God and growing in intimacy with Him.
