I saw an image of a baby bird in a nest, calling for food. I feel that God is saying that we should desire the solid, spiritual food that He has in store for us in the same way. God wants to take us to a place of spiritual maturity in Him.
I heard God saying, “Beloved, do you not see that I have called you to maturity? I desire to take you to a place of fullness and maturity in me. I desire you to partake of the solid food. I desire you to spend time in My presence, for that is where you will come to maturity. Allow Me to form your heart, lay yourself down before Me, that I may work with you like soft clay, that I may form you into maturity. For I have so much in store for you. However, I cannot give it to you while you are not in a state of maturity. So I call you, child, come to Me and surrender yourself to Me and desire to come into the place of maturity. Do not become content with where you are, but continuously pursue a higher calling in Me. Continue to pursue maturity in Me, for as you reach deeper into Me, I will show you great and marvelous things. Continue to press into My presence and continue to desire solid spiritual food, for I desire to give it to you.”
I was reminded of 1 Corinthians 3:2 – “I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready.”
Let us desire to come into full maturity in God, being able to receive the solid food that He wants to give to us. Let us spend time His presence, allowing Him to form us into maturity.
