I heard God saying, “Beloved, I am the Alpha and the Omega. I hold everything in My hands. With one word, I can calm the storms in your life, yet in those storms I desire you to cling to Me and to grow in your faith. For even when I do not calm the storm, it is because I am equipping you and strengthening you to step into the more that I have in store for you. So, in those times of struggle, I desire you to spend time in My presence and to seek for Me more fervently than before. I desire you to truly pursue Me with everything. For in that, you will find so much more. For even amidst the storm, I will give you peace and I will reveal to you the plans that I have in store for you. So do not become frustrated when the storm does not seem to diminish, but seek Me and seek My plans, for I will reveal to you the plans that I have for you. Do not let your faith become weakened, instead let it become stronger and more firm. For in that fellowship, I will make you grow and I will reveal Myself to you. So, do not become distracted or disheartened by the storms and the winds and the waves, but focus on Me, and in that you will find peace and hope and you will experience the deep love that I have for my children. So draw near to Me and focus on Me.”
I was reminded of Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Matthew 14:30-31 – But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
Let us keep our focus on God, knowing that even in the midst of the storms in our lives, we can run to Him and He will comfort us. In those times of difficulties, we grow in our faith in Him, as we spend time in His presence.
