I saw an image of a tree with a shelf fungus growing on it. I feel that God is saying that we should be careful of the things that grow in our lives that are not from Him, for they damage our lives. I feel that God is calling us to a place of inspection of our lives and surrendering these things to God, for He will remove them from our lives if we hand them over to Him.
I felt God saying, “Beware of the things that you allow to grow in your life. It may seem harmless, yet it impacts the health of your heart. Your heart is the source of all your actions. Allow My light to shine on it and to remove the things in your life that are not from Me. “
I was reminded of Proverbs 4:23 – “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” and Psalm 139:23-24 – “Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.”
Let us ask God to reveal these things present in our lives to us, so that we may surrender them to God and allow Him to remove them from our lives. Spending time in His presence allows His light to shine on us and we are set free from these things. Let us draw near to God.
