I saw an image of a hot air balloon, but it was struggling to rise higher, and seemed to be slowly descending. My attention was drawn to the basket, which was full of people and I got the impression that it was overloaded, which is why it was sinking. I feel that this refers to our Christian walk, that when we take too many people’s opinions on board, we are unable to rise past it and go higher and closer to God. We end up limiting our walk with God based on other people’s opinions.
I felt God saying, “My child, do not allow yourself to be weighed down by others. Do not limit yourself to other’s opinions and experiences of Me, for I have abundantly more in store. I desire you to keep your eyes fixed on Me, unwavering, and I will take you to new heights where others have not even dared tread.”
I feel that God is willing to take us higher, but we limit ourselves by taking other people’s opinions on board, as well as assuming that the limit of God’s glory is that which we can imagine. I was reminded of Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”
Let us desire the more that God has in store for us, not letting our own idea of God’s glory, limit that which He wants to do in our lives.
