I saw an image of a tent. I heard the words, “safe encampment”. I feel that God is saying that He provides a safe encampment for us where we can rest in His presence.
I felt God saying, “Enter My presence and draw near to Me. My presence is a safe encampment for you. Do not wander away from Me or distance yourself from Me, for sheep are only safe while they are in the presence of their shepherd. I will provide for you and protect you.”
I was reminded of Psalm 23:1-4 – “The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.”
When we, as sheep, draw near to God, our shepherd, and remain in His presence, we are protected from the enemy. He guides us and shields us. The wolves do not fear the sheep, but they fear the shepherd, so when we stay close to the shepherd, the wolves can not injure us. The only way for the enemy to come close to us, is for him to lead us astray, away from our shepherd.
Let us draw near to God, staying in His presence throughout our daily lives. As we journey through life with God beside us, we know that He will protect us and lead us. Let us keep our focus on the Lord, not being distracted by the devil’s attempts to draw us away from God.
