As I was praying, I saw an image of a person taking hold of a sword. I feel that God is calling to take hold of our swords and to rise up as warriors in His Kingdom.
I heard God saying, “Take hold of your sword and follow Me into battle. For though we do not fight against flesh and blood, know that there is a spiritual battle raging. I desire My followers to be attentive and alert, ready to follow My commands and to wield the sword of truth. For as you combat the enemy, he will retreat. For He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. So, do not let fear make you become stagnant, but rather push on and push through, pursuing the more that I have for you. Take hold of your sword, for My Word is like a sharp-edged sword and with it, you can stand against anything that the enemy will throw your way. So, come My soldiers, unite with Me, so that we may battle against the enemy. This battle has already been won, so there is no reason to fear. So, follow Me and listen carefully to My instructions.”
Ephesians 6:12 – For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Let us spend time in God’s presence, reading His Word and listening to His voice. For as we spend time with Him, He will raise us up to be warriors in His Kingdom, ready to act at His command.
